Night Bahamas & Perfect Day CruiseDetails
The choice of which room to book, the restaurants to eat in, the activities to take part in or the shows to attend come out to a whopping amount of options for the average, weeklong cruise. Yet even if your family sticks to the basic cabins and included options, the cruising experience is still kept at a high standard, and attentive and friendly service is never the exception. Go big on bold when you sail aboard one of the largest cruise ships in the world. As with every new ship, a host of new features appeared. For Symphony of the Seas, this meant one of the line's boldest new cabin types to date in the shape of the flamboyant 1,134-square-foot Symphony of the Seas Family Suite (officially known as the Ultimate Family Suite).
Themed games are provided by the Adventure Ocean youth program. Among the new technologies on Symphony OTS are the RFID wristbands or "WOWbands" - an optional choice to replace the RCI's SeaPass cards, allowing passengers to do purchases onboard and to access their cabins. Typically for RCI, the wristbands are offered complimentary to all passengers. All of our cruise ships are equipped to accommodate any special needs — just let us know and we’ll make you feel at home. Relax, unwind and make yourself at home after a full day of adventure.
Royal Caribbean's ship Symphony OTS sets new Transatlantic Crossing Record
The Izumi Restaurant features a la carte hibachi, teppanyaki and sushi menu. A total of 25 onboard dining options (14 complimentary, including room-service) are available to choose from. Symphony OTS features a multi-deck waterslide area that was introduced first on Harmony OTS. It is also the second Oasis-class liner with robot bartenders serving drinks (Bionic Bar) - a concept first introduced in 2014 on Quantum of the Seas. Symphony has bigger cabins than Allure and Oasis (in some categories) and windowless interior cabins (Virtual Balconies) offering real-time views (first introduced in 2014 on Navigator of the Seas). In comparison to the other Oasis-Class sisterships, Harmony and Symphony are heavier (by over 1700 tons), 3 meters wider, able to accommodate 100 more passengers.

In the case of Symphony, the price of nearly every specialty restaurant cover has been raised. Though just a few dollars more per person than on previous ships, it could impact budgeting for families who can't spend hundreds more on dining in addition to what they paid to board the ship. A brilliant passenger flow, plenty of signage and an intuitive sense of orientation means that despite being massive, it's hard to get lost for long onboard. Other byproducts of size, like pollution or waste, are offset by the line's Save the Waves program and by constant improvements to ship engineering. Symphony, like many of the line's ships, is "zero to landfill" meaning no waste is left behind. A new program has banned plastic straws and Symphony is actually 25 percent more energy-efficient than its fleetmate Allure of the Seas.
You’ll discover all that and more when you sail in Royal Suite Class. You name it, Symphony of the Seas has it, including the eye-watering Ultimate Abyss. The 10-deck dry slide spirals from Deck 16 to Deck 6, as captured by SummerIsAStateOfMind from the ship's Boardwalk. If you can budget for it, though, there is a specialty restaurant to suit every taste, with 10 venues to sink your teeth into including Hooked Seafood, Johnny Rockets and Izumi Hibachi and Sushi.

On October 1, 2018, RCI announced that the company's 50th birthday cruise (themed "50 Years Bold Birthday Cruise") will be held on Symphony of the Seas leaving roundtrip from Miami (November 2, 2019). The 7-day Eastern Caribbean itinerary will feature unique programming, special events and surprise guest performers. The following aerial photo shows an Oasis-class vessel (as looked from above). Follows the complete list of Symphony of the Seas lounges, clubs and other entertainment venues for kids, teens and adults. As is common on Royal Caribbean cruises, the dress code on Symphony of the Seas is casual during the day and somewhat more formal in the evening.
A Mediterranean cruise is a great way to get a taste of some of Italy’s brightest stars – both figuratively and literally. Savour Cacio e Pepe in Rome between exploring the Colosseum and tossing your coin into the Trevi Fountain. Carve into a juicy cut of Bistecca alla Fiorentina after climbing the Leaning Torre di Pisa in Florence. And you can’t miss a slice of real Neopolitan pizza after a visit to Mount Vesuvius or the neoclassical Gesu Nuovo Church in Naples.
The strong execution of these fresh ventures, along with their mass appeal, almost guarantees that Royal Caribbean has ensured a new generation of fleetwide favorites. Even better, half of the new venues (laser tag and El Loco Fresh) are included in the cruise fare. Toast to a great getaway as you glide between decks at the Rising Tide Bar. Come for a cocktail, stay for a song at this lively late-night spot. If you are looking for the freshest seafood, Hooked Seafood is the ultimate catch. Satisfy your cravings all day — and night — at this round-the-clock fleet favorite.
These are inside cabins with bowed windows (bay window) overlooking the Atrium's Royal Promenade. The bow window gives more interior space and is also a great vantage point to watch the Royal Promenade's "street" activities - including the parade each evening. Remember to keep the curtains closed at night as there are Promenade cabins across the street too.
The ceremony was attended by Michael Bayley (RCI's President and CEO), Richard Fain (RCCL's CEO and Chairman) and Laurent Castaing (STX's General Manager). The steel-cutting ceremony (shipyard/hull number B34) was on February 3, 2015, held at STX France shipyard (Saint-Nazaire, France). On October 2, 2016, was the keel-laying ceremony, with which officially started the vessel's construction. During the ceremony, a 32 x 154-ft (10 x 47 m), 1000-ton keel block was lifted by a huge crane and placed into the shipyard's building dock. Newly minted coins were put under the keel and stayed there until the end of the vessel's construction.
